Default Mamayev assets

Hey,

Is it just me that can't use the Mamayev assets? If I click all assets on the content browser, I can see them all, but can't place them or anything. They also don't appear in the packages at all (other than some art assets for the minimap). Am I not meant to be able to use them, or do I just need to do something?

Thanks.

Try open the Mamayev map first. Then check the content browser
and then open your map. All stuff must be visible then.

Hmm, didn't seem to work. They appear in the package immediately after opening the map, but it still doesn't allow me to place them, and when I restart they're gone again.

Right click on the package name in Content Browser, select Fully Load.

Tried that, still no luck. It isn't a massive issue, might just save a bit of time is all.

Is it just the static meshes you are trying to use? What method are you using to place them on the map?

Yes it is. Just click+dragging onto the terrain.

Have you tried holding down 's' and clicking somewhere on the terrain? I'm not confident, but it might work. And as a somewhat irrelevant warning: clicking and dragging from the content browser creates something which looks just like a static mesh but isn't actually one. It's a weird quirk the RO2 SDK has.

I got the mamayev static meshes by going into the ro game files in my steam folder and opening the mamayev package in udk content browser.

It just gives an error saying "No static mesh was specified". Also, what do you mean, how are they different? Could be pretty crucial .

Yeah tried that also, no dice.

Edit: Got it working, had to unload the props_Mamayev package, and then fully load it again. Cheers for your help everyone.

Yeah it's really not obvious, but when you click-and-drag, that creates a ROObstacleMesh (or something like that, I forget the exact name), which is used when you want to make a destructible door that can be destroyed with a satchel. Using the 's' key method (or right-clicking and choosing "add staticmesh here") creates a StaticMeshActor, which is what you'll want to use to build your level.

Alright, cheers. Just spent a few hours changing them all over. Knowing that might be pretty useful though, thanks.

If you are referring to what I believe you are, when the SDK loads, on the content browser you need to right-click the folder that you want to use assets from, and then click 'Fully Load'. Keep doing that over and over until the option is greyed out.
