Default Tank Destroyers

I would like to propose tank destroyers to the game that would be in the era of the battle of stalingrad. (I hope) And could be suitable for maps already in play.

A PanzerJager I as a given tank. Then upgradable tank destroyer the Marder series.

For the russians, I would give them the KV series for upgrading as they progress.

These would be for larger maps and give tankers more options to play with. As these tanks are built off the same chasis, and were used to counter each other.

Well, for the soviets I'd say the SU-76 would be a better match for the PzJg/Marder, as they were hardly armoured at all and the 4,7cmPak of the PzJg I should be hardly any threat at all to the KV heavy tanks.
However, let TWI first finish their current tank models, the PzIII and the T-70, I don't think its much use discussing projects even farther in the future

SU-76 doesn't fit into the timeframe. Although there was a test series made in late 1942, it was only used way to the north (Volkhov front); real mass production started in mid 43. Additionally, it was not a tank destroyer. Its gun could be used for AT purposes, but it wasn´t what the vehicle was designed and used for (infantry support).

KV in this game will be a slow T-34. It has the same gun, and despite its heavier armour, it´s vulnerable to Pz4´s gun. (okay, it should be near invulnerable to AT rifles, but T-34 should too, actually)

True, but it would still be the closest existing soviet design to the Marder that i know of and the ZIS-3 worked as a ATG well enough against medium german armour.
About the timeframe you are right, didnt check that properly before posting

However, the tank that I think could be implemented with relative ease and would like to see would be the PzIV E or F1.
It should be possible to carry over a whole lot of animations and textures from the existing PzIV G which would spare a lot of time in the parts that are most timeconsuming in tankmaking.

Actually, the closest thing to the Marder would be this:

But I suspect they weren't around by the battle of Stalingrad anymore.

I think that introducing earlier Pz4 models is not a bad idea: even though G was the most numerous model by that time, the Germans were hard pressed for tanks (they even shipped them from Africa to help relieve the 6th army), and you would expect all available reserves used there.

PS. Forget Stalingrad timeframe... :P, one russian anti tank is moving all ready in my battlefield, at home.
