Has the "Remembering" video's sound been edited, or is that raw game play sound? Just trying to get an idea on the sound quality.

I assume it will sound fine. The sound design is actually one of my favorite aspects of Tripwire games. The weapons (among other things) sound positively exquisite in Killing Floor and Red Orchestra. And by exquisite, I mean thunderous!

I am hoping for a bit more of Reverb where appropriate for gun fire, than was used in RO. BFBC2 over did it big time, and COD is MAJOR FAIL for sound all around. RO was good, but it had a lot of room for improvement regarding sound. When firing my 8mm Mauser at the range, or out in my uncle's pasture, it has a VERY firm echo, and is extremely loud, could only imagine a MG42.

I really don't think the sound in a trailer can be compared to any potential in-game sound that'll come with release.
I'm still not sure if the sound in the trailer were placeholders quite honestly though...

I sure don't hope so, I don't want some kid interrupting my gameplay with the word "GRANDPA!" every 5 seconds

They apparently use OpenAL and if you want to get the best quality sound possible you need a separate sound card that supports Creative's proprietary stuff.

And I think they're placeholders, but can't be sure.

I REALLY hope they didn't use the same sounds from ROOST. While gameplay is great, sound is EXTREMELY important, more so than graphics imo.

I believe in one of the earlier gameplay videos they mentioned that the alpha/beta sounds were just placeholders. I assume they have a whole new set of sounds for the released version.
