Seriously for anyone who has not played on a 32 player server yet try it. It's great. You got a bit of room to breathe but it's still very intense. If your computer sucks too it helps a lot.

especially with a good sound system
I find 32 players offers more breathing room and i often do a lot better
i'd imagine highly skilled players can pull off wonders in 64 player pubs though

32 players on anything other than apartments is boring. Everyone just sits and hides.

I agree, for most maps 32-44 players is the sweet spot. 64 players is just insane - people are crammed into every nook and cranny to the point where moving out is impossible, you'll just get sniped. Tactics and teamwork are way more effective in 32 man.

I disagree, on the servers I've played at least people tend to actually attack capzones more because they can move more than 3 feet without a sniper drawing a bead on them.

Agreed. I look for severs with fewer players as it just seems to be mayhem with more and any sort of tactics go out the window.

It depends on the map. I would like to be able to play 64 players on Red October, but wouldn't mind 32 players on Apartments or Grain Elevator (although 48/50 is my main preference).

Agreed.
I get the smoothest and most enjoyable experiences with 32-40 player matches.
64 is a bit over the top right now for me. Both performance-wise and gameplay-wise.

The majority of the maps we have right now just feel too clustered for 64 players. Once we get custom maps that are bigger, it should be fine having 64 players.
