Default np and the new update

Did anyone notice that when you type “np” to forgive the guy who teamkilled you it doesn’t get registered by the server (the message saying that you’ve forgiven the guy doesn’t pop up).

However, if you open the console and type “say np” it will register properly.

This is the way it should be. Chat and event log have been separated (thank god). Seeing the chat log spammed with "np" is a thing of the past.

I mean it just pops up in the chat log as “np” instead of being recognised as a command.

That's very odd, it really should say "x forgave y" for players x and y, and not show either the server message or "np" for the other players.

Yup - I noticed this. TK system appears broke, you cannot forgive; however, I also noticed there's no prompt anymore stating "type np to forgive xxxx"…

So I thought (was hoping) maybe the setting was disabled on the server and that TWI did not re-break this function. But my server still showed friendly fire enabled...but, there doesnt appear to be a TK penalty anymore or a forgive system.

I think this happens because the new chat system appends a location marker to every message (i.e. #G:E6). Also, if you see someone on the enemy team saying something in public chat you can open the console and see his location as a grid reference. A bit of an exploit. :\
