Connecting to server using IP address

Should be enabled by default. Press the ~ key in the top left. Technically it is ` on most keyboards, as you don't press shift, but "Tilda" is a cooler sounding key than whatever ` actually is.

The tilda ~ key is what I am used to accessing it in other games, sadly doesn't work in RO2!

A couple of things that are relevant i have noticed and may be of some interest.
Different keyboard layouts may be confusing the advice.
I am talking about console when using english keyboard layout.
'(single quote key aka apostrophe) opens console with full message output and F3 key opens console command prompt.

The` key is known as the back quote key (and several other names) and can be used in some text inputs to inline keybord key symbol (GitHub)or code input amongst many other uses for that key.

Some hyper linked IP addresses are capable of opening server after starting game > server browser and simply clicking on the link from your web browser.
Steam official group RO2/RS event notifications are one relative example of this. This is some how related to these notifications for that group being an official group. Other Steam public groups can not do this because of the source for those pages does not contain the necessary information to allow this feature.
Right clicking the multiplayer .exe shortcut for RO2/RS in steam library shows a link for the manual for those games.
Clicking this opens an online pdf that is titled for Rising Storm and contains information for that game. No where in that document does having access to console or how to manually open a server from IP address get mentioned.
The location for key to open console has possibly moved/reallocted after the addon Rising Storm was merged Red Orchestra 2 .exe. IDNK as i bought both games after the release of Rising Storm.
I find it amazing that the devs who created the RO1 addon Mare Nostrum are the people busy working on the In Country Vietnam add on for Red Orchestra 2 and look forward to that one going public too.
