[Error] 17.09 Update obliterated my graphics

After todays update, presumably to fix the MKb42 and AVT issue, my graphics settings no longer work.

The game looks like it's running on Medium no matter what my settings are, yet I still take a performance hit by turning them up. Framerate smoothing also seems to be on even if I turn it off.

Specs:
AMD Phenom II X4 965@ 3.8Ghz
HD6870
8Gb Vengeance Corsair 1600Mhz DDR3
Win 64 bit

I have now tried deleting all game related files and reinstalling/downloading again from Steam to no avail.

The Ini files related to graphics are located in

C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\My Games\RedOrchestra2\ROGame\Config

you may be able to try deleting these ( back em up first ) then verify and they should be replaced, see if that fixes it for you.

I did it multiple times and deleted various config files, but it suddenly seems to work again now. For a while it turned itself down to low while all the settings were on ultra.

Here's how Pavlovshouse looked on ultra (strikingly similar to DoD):
