What? I hope this isn't true.

It's true, infact it's true of every game engine i've ever delt with and UE3 is no exception, there are limits to how big you can go.

However, that's not why we haven't seen bigger maps, UE3 supports very large maps, and you need only look at other UE3 titles to see what can be done, Borderlands for instance is on UE3, and it wasen't even testing the limits of how big UE3 can build.

No, the reason is that TWI didn't want to make them bigger, HoS was obviously ment to be as fast paced as it is, it was a design decision.
