Does the PZB still behave like a rail gun against Pzv4s? my last experience picking up one of those of a dead german ATR. Was being able to bully the german panzer back into his spawn for half the game.
I was able to murder all his crew in a few shots. Dem tungstan rounds. But there does need to be a proper how to, on blowing up tanks with the ATR. from multiple angles ect. Last edited by GARY OAK; 01-15-2013 at 10:31 AM. |

The crew member areas are kind of a 50/50 on whether or not you'll do anything. Prior to the GOTY update, it was really easy to drop players inside the tank, but now it's a bit more difficult.... but if you want to try, those are the areas where they are located in the tanks. The yellow areas are also a hit/miss thing these days, especially the turret. Aim for the ends of the tracks for the easiest damage to them. For the easiest destruction of a tank, flat on the side and smack into the middle of the tracks is the best of all the spots (between the wheels.) Those areas work for me almost all the time with 2-3 shots, sometimes one, depending on my distance..... the Engine area is also a 50/50.... so usually when I have a clear shot on the sides, I aim in the middle of the tracks (below the turret) to drop almost all tanks I see. You said half the marked areas have no effect... which ones worked for you? Quote:
I'd make a video of some offline play, but my single player/offline matches are still bugged with the movement jitters.... that and most of the time, the bots never pick a tank, so I have nothing to shoot at. Last edited by Cpt-Praxius; 01-15-2013 at 09:41 PM. |

No prob.... if I can make it a bit more simple for players:
http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/h...psd399d201.jpg http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/h...ps1ad5bf70.jpg ^ Just position yourself straight to these sides and shoot in the red areas for the easiest kills. Within 2-3 hits you should blow either tank up. The other areas noted before are still good spots, but take more practice to hit accurately at certain distances. In a pinch, aim at the above areas to just blow them up quickly. These are my go-to spots and work quite well up to just under 100M. You can still try beyond 100M and would still be more effective beyond that range than any other spot, but again, it can be a bit finicky with results. Remember, between the tracks, below the top armour, below the turret. The closer you are, the more punch your round will have.... the less rounds you will need to use. By the way. Perhaps this should be moved into the tactics section of the forums.
Also, I'm just wondering if anybody tried the last spot I noted to get any feed back on if that works better for most? |

well i was having some "fun" in the loosest of terms last night driving my panser4. I have no idea what was up but as soon as i was driving out of my spawn. there was a russian at rifle just nailing my tank with 2-3 shots at ranges of over 200 meters.
![]() bare in mind these shots where to the front of the tank and i had sustained no other damage this was a brand new tank. he did not have a elevation advantage so it is still quite easy to knock out tanks with the ATR Although i suspect that this due to the fact this russian had the pzb with its tungsten rounds. |

Thats because he was using the german AT rifle which was upgraded in game so it could cope with t34 armour. The trouble is it goes through p4 armour a bit too easily if you know where to hit.
