5 November: Most Important Date in History

On 5 November 1955, Emmet Brown stood on his toilet while hanging a clock. He fell, striking his head on the sink. When he came to, he had an epiphany, and he created this drawing:

Let us all remember that great scientist and all he did, gave, and sacrificed in the cause of science, and his great breakthrough on this day, 66 years ago.

I respect his work and recognize its importance, but I'm not sure I can respect the man behind it anymore. It is true that he was mostly apolitical at first and I commend his reluctance against selling and weaponizing his findings, but he lost pretty much all of my respect when he joined the Klingon space navy and attacked Kirk on a dying planet.
As a patriot I have a hard time looking up to a man who betrayed not only his country but even his own species!

First Hanoi Jane, now Kronos Emmet. What's the world coming to?
