Default What's with all the map changes in the beta?

Wow, I went into the beta to test some things and noticed that almost all of the maps in the beta are substantially changed in terms of objectives. What gives? Are these the simplified Territory maps for servers running with fewer than 32 people or something?

Most of the maps seem to have many fewer cap zones, etc... Just from running around with bots on all the altered maps, it seems to me that most of the changes are not for the better...

On the bright side, Pavlov's House is redesigned to work as an attack-defend map, which is a great concept.

Also, the LMG hipfire changes and other improvements are worth checking out if you haven't already!

This is also present in the current game: when the max players are lower, the map changes. (debris blocking stairs, different objectives, etc).

You could play the beta. I don`t see servers in RO2 and the steam servers.

I have the beta but can`t test it.

Are there any patch notes of the current version of the beta?
I've only found http://forums.tripwireinteractive.co...ad.php?t=84880 but it doesn't say anything about fixing the MG hip firing or map changes.

they put up the beta sever around every 2 or 3 weeks for a few hours
make sure to find the IP
the sever does not show up on the beta sever, you have to put in the IP
most of the time there a small note saying the sever will be up
and when and how long
you have to be on at the right time to see that the beta sever is going to be up

My thoughts are that
there will be no new updates or maps till next year

A well deserved vacation! BTW, you guys still kick ***. I just wish more developers actually made computer games, and not console titles. Such a waste of a keyboard just to use 6-10 buttons... :/

Pavlov's should have never been designed as a meeting engagement. It should have been, and I hope they've made into-- a desperate soviet defensive stand.
The same goes for the grain elevator. The Russians shouldn't be allowed to recap objectives on that map, either.

Pavlos's house is one of the easiest german map there is
basicly all the germans need to do is camp till the last few mins and cap 9th
at the end
and that is a very easy cap for the germans,9th cap zone is very large for the germans they do not even need to go into the house
just camp your tanks outside the 9th house fire he rounds into it as the german inf camp the cap outside

If you want to be a A$$ on Pavlov's house the german team just rushs the 9th when stright to the russian last cap and spawn camp them the rest of the map
if you get 2 or 3 german SL camping the last russian cap
there not much the russains can do about it
the germans can just keep re-spawning on the SL-ers
if the germans being a tank to help the map can end very fast

I feel completly different. Pavlos is a pro russian map, when played without tanks ( as most maps do because of ping) . Axis could take the 9 Jan in the beginning but get constantly shoot after the russians took their positions. 90% get killed befoe even going into the capzone, there is no cover. On the other side russians have no problem to get in and can easily recap 9 Jan while holding Pavlovs without efford. This results in axis losing the ref fast and easy russian win. Its just not fun without tanks, and silly when you see that only 60% of the map is really used in 90% of the battles. In a good map every team has equl chances to win, thats not the case in this map.
