Hi, I'm new to this forum but I read it a long time and observed it.

Now my concern is: Where the hell is the MG42? And since i couldn't find any threads on this I decided to make one :/

Like the name tells, the MG42 was designed and developed in the early 1942. At the beginning of the Stalingrad battle the Germans had around 18.000 units all over the battlefields.
I played/play the beta but i haven't seen it on any map nor in the stats. Maybe it will be added or unlocked later or the devs are not taking it in the game.

Please use the search button. it was very rare in Stalingrad and it might be patched in later.

I thought that most MG-42s didn't reach they're destinations until early 1943.

I hope it will be included with the dlc. But if it really was in Stalingrad:

I used the search button YOU .... ..... ... ! (sarcasm, it has been a long day)

there are no documents about mg42s in Stalingrad but that doesn't mean it was not there. Until the end of the Stalingrad battle they sure had a few 100 or thousand.

Alas it was rare at Stalingrad but then so were the G41 and MKb 42

A bunch of people here on the forums proved that they're were many MG42s in Stalingrad. I think one document showed that one group had more MG42s than they did G41s.

Never heard of the MG 39/41 prototypes. That apparently were sent out and used before the official adoption of the MG42? I would think that would include Stalingrad seeing as the Eastern front took up the vast majority of the German's attention in the war...
