I'm lyric about RO2, I like the new path they went into and think it's only a start for what may come. That's why we can deliver some new ideas about the game.
Some things may improve imo, like: 1) Squad system: When you play, you mostly play as a team (for example I never heard anyone speaking through the squad chat which is there but remains unused). Teamplay is very nice but I miss squad play. Most of the time I have no idea where my squad is, I only see my SL when I'm dead. That's why I'd like a system of colours above names for example and more squad talk. Teamleaders may decide which squad has to take/defend certain areas and maybe in the future maps should be created to develop the idea. Since a squad contains mostly one of each class (except marksman and anti tank) it can operate on it's own. Maybe implement a tactical round preceding the beginning of a map would be a possible idea where plans can be viewed and voted with different spawn points for all squads so no more spawn killing is possible. Then SL's will have more responsibility then just point out arty points and be a smoke fabric. A certain class level will be needed since more experienced players are needed. 2)Hospics: Maybe hospics should come into play to bandage and drag people out. More realistic than to bandage your own. They may be dressed really prominent so enemies are aware they're shooting a doc which may imply a certain penalty if they're still shot at. One for each squad can be possible idea. 3)Forbidden Area: I absolutely hate it when enemies capture an objective and you need to get out an area within seconds. It doesn't benefit realism and I think certain spearheads must be possible. (I know spearhead is mostly part of an attack but I see it as part of a forwarded defense) They can be cut of supply as penalty for staying behind enemy lines. The spawn point can stay where it was to prevent spawn killing for example so people know there's still someone in. You have recon which can easily identify them. It will delay an attack on certain areas which is realistic and maybe fun to play since time should be extended to make that possible. I have the feeling that the longer it takes the more immersive it gets. Feel free to bring up new ideas. |

Suggestions for suggesters. Well, only one: would you care to check previous threads, especially the one called 'Look here before posting', in this section, before pointlessly regurgitating ideas that have been discussed here over and over again? Ideas as odious and unrealistic as medics, which will never be implemented?

Two important things why: *no squad recognition *no different spawn place/squad Gameplay is what makes this game different (and better) than CoD or Bf, not tags or colours (which are more used than in the past to the satisfaction of many). They can indeed. Problem is this only makes sense when playing with bots . I see it's, again, non-existing when you play with human players. As a hero SL and TL I've tried but given up since others might feel offended to be directed in a certain way. Main cause? Same spawn position and no squad level. Hospics seem to have been abandoned by dev's so no problem. Not true, you just can't infiltrate enemy lines. There is an invisible line that is related to each objective. Sadly enough cause I think infiltration is part of a realistic WWII shooter (with penalties as I described in my post for example) I have tons of it, thx. Excuse me I do not want to be a cod fanboy, or to annoy you with BF stuff or whatsoever, but I've seen on youtube quite often videos of RO2 where there are soldier names coloured in green, red or white.
I dont want to increase confusion nor to make a WW2 game look candyland, but in game I see only white names, and I was wondering if in a future patch squad mates could be shown with the name coloured in green as the one I saw instead of regular white for all the other ones. No coloured tags, no crap like that. Thanks. |
