I will be playing from a student appartment soon and I have a limit to the amount of bandwith I can use monthly, so I'd like to get a decent idea of how much the game needs. Anyone have a number for me?

I'm on limited bandwidth at the moment too, so I used NetMeter to check how much the game was actually using.
Although I can't give you the precise numbers you're looking for, if you played all evening (5 hours), you'd still be looking at well under 300MB. That's combined uploaded and downloaded data.
What will do far more damage is the 500MB patches we're currently getting every few days.

I used a satellite connection for a short time while I played a different game and noticed that the BW on the game wasn't too bad but using voice coms really ate up the BW. If you are metered I'd suggest turning off the voice coms.
Your service provider should have some sort of tools to let you see what you are using & how much you have used. I must say though it certainly sucks to be on a bw cap/limit.
