Ya I think they (maybe) could have gotten more funding if they were focusing on SP rather than multi only at first.
The reason the R6 series was amazing to me was largely due to the singleplayer campaign (also the campaign played as co-op) + planning phase etc. The multiplayer was decent but nothing compared to Flashpoint, RTCW:ET, and other popular online shooters at the time. On top of that I'm just sick of online shooters in general. I understand if singleplayer is harder to do though since you have to code AI and all that. (or maybe it isn't don't know tbh) I still hope (obviously) though that the BFS team gets funding from somewhere to make their game. Last edited by NoxNoctum; 01-31-2013 at 04:37 AM. |

That is what the GB devs have stated and is why they limited their Kickstarter goals to MP with basic co-op up front only. But tactical shooters are at their best in the SP/co-op. And I have a feeling this is why many did not feel like donating.

It is better to have a base to build a sp/expanded co-op on than have nothing at all, right?
Co-op would have been (and still will be afaik) part of the first playable build, but it would be basic with stupid AI etc. instead of a full-fledged co-op campaign with good AI etc. because that needs more money than they have. For good MP you don't need AI so yeah ![]() SP/Co-op will come as long as they can get off the ground proper. I have confidence the MP will be good too though, considering the plans they have for it. It won't be just any ordinary online shooter. |
