I have the exact same problem, I found a thread that suggested I delete my ClientRegistry Blob. However this does not solve the problem for me. Will a fresh install of Steam and/or Red Orchestra + defrag solve this problem?? It took so long for Steam to update the first time that I am trying to avoid a complete re-install.

it does the same thing to me but I can still run the game fine. I dont think thats your problem.

I have solved my RunTime Error problem. I uninstalled Steam and RO, ran CCleaner, defragged, then I re-installed Steam, defrag, re-installed RO, Defrag. BINGO! it works fine :D
I made sure AdAware was turned off and I shut down all other programs for the install. Also make sure that EMule is turned off :eek: Good Luck, this is really a fun game once it is working properly :)
