This suggestion isn't even my idea. It's InDeX's. He wanted me to upload it. I won't answer any coments here
Classic Britsh Sten, used mostly in WW2 and would be a good addition to Killing Floor. Basically a new weapon idea for the medic, other than that it should contain a medic dart attachment with a powerful heal then the mp7 but slower in perfomance, this gun would also be quite powerful for the medic to actually defend him self and not spend shed loads on different perked weapons.

So there's nothing wrong with another weapon that matches the MP7; neither will outperform the other, let alone outperform any other perks.
Is that a question.

The original fix for the issue with toughness of hitting with the syringe was fixed with ranged heals. Another weapon would be nice, but not necessary. A new weapon would be a weapon similar in tier to the MP7 that preforms differently but still has healing abilities so that a medic could carry one or the other (or both for even more heals if the new weapon had less range than the MP7, considering balance).

Let's take every possible weapon and add medic dart attachments. Medic will rock. </sarcasm>

This is even less inventive and balanced than the shotgun suggestion. Medics should never have a perked weapon that is on the same level as other tier 3, or even the better tier 2, because they have improved healing, unobtainium armor, and good speed.

The game is also supposed to be fun, not just balanced. We could balance the game by taking away all perks and having only 1 gun to use. That would be ultimate balance.

My issue with medic, now that I've been playing for a bit, is that I'm always stuck with one fairly bad gun. I can take more punishment than the other teammates, however I never have the damage output to bail myself out of that situation.

Yes, I can buy another class's weapon, but I'll usually have a gimped clip and crap damage output compared to what they have.

Seriously, take my armor bonus down. When I play as my commando, I notice that the amount of damage I take feels like I'm bought only a couple of more seconds. Seconds matter, but I wish I had more versatility than just firing glitchy darts at people that may or may not heal them.

I don't like the idea of putting WWII weapons in KF.
An alright suggestion though, but is it any different to the Medic Rifle that's already been nearly finished?

The Sterling isn't even WW2. :V

On another note, the Enfield SMLE has been around for ages and still in use today in training (I think) ceremonial stuff and by insurgents in the middle-east.

Hmm seems like my friend didn't have that bad idea
I mean, so many people say it'd be nice add for KF... I can not believe my eyes... yet people stopped commenting here :D

Anyways, here is what I think:
The weapon seems kind of too powerfull and hard to balance, but I may be wrong. Also, I don't really like the idea of adding another rapid-fire (maybe because I am typical zerker who if wouldn't be zerker would be Demolition or Support Specialist, so rapid fire isn't rly my specialization).

There was hardly anything said about the weapon's balance [...] Sounds like you just don't want the gun in KF.
It was said that it would preform the task of self-defense better than the mp7, which implies that it will have a better DPS on average. That does seem like it could be a balance nightmare waiting to happen. This weapon doesn't bring much to the game that the Horizon medic rifle doesn't already do, and that weapon is already made.

Damn people not every fully automatic weapon is a "commando weapon". Medics need something that's more fun to shoot, and something that can actually kill something.

Anyway the balance excuses just seem totally absurd to me. Medics can (and do) already use other perk weapons whose base stats are way better than the MP7 in addition to using the MP7. So how is adding a weapon whose stats with perk benefits are on par with these other weapons (at base stats) going to change anything?

I'm still amazed that so many people are afraid of things becoming unbalanced. If you are worried about medics having a weapon that's too effective at getting kills, then simply give them less ammo (only enough to use for defense).
