New game mode: ZED Team deathmatch!!! (mutator)

I was coming home today thinking of one thing - BlackCheetah's versus was so briliant, but could be better. He abandoned it. But what about someone does something alike his specimen versus?
And here comes the idea:
Make a custom map which would be nothing but edited Evil Santa's Lair!
And at the map the game would force players to choose teams:
Team 1 = normal ZEDs. Team 2 = CHRISTMAS ZEDS! :D
Well, this might really sound like Team Fortress 2 unfortunatelly, but that's not really like that.
There would be no soldiers around, shooting and taunting ZEDs. They are already dead! But Patriarch has something to do about Robot Claws. Patriarch didn't like the latest presents he got.
Now, Xmas zeds have to defend their robot father awhile the almighty Patriarch with his children want to kick his *** and show who is the original here! :)
About the gameplay:
After you die in a wave, you have to wait until wave ends (until all enemies/team mates die).
After each wave ends, the game should count +1 point for winner team. For win in Patty wave, the team gets +3 points. The team which gets the most points all together after Patty wave ends, wins.
It should be max 7 vs 7 = 14 players, each "class" could be chosen only once per team. Or 14 vs 14 = 28 as someone suggested (though then each team should have max 2 same perks). No leveling. The classes would be:
Zerker -> Team 1: Gorefast -> Team 2: Gingerfast
Medic -> Team 1: Bloat -> Fat Santa
Support Specialist -> Team 1: Siren -> Team 2: Throat-sick Siren
Sharp-Shooter -> Crawler -> Reindeer
Commando -> Team 1: Stalker -> RedHood
Firebug -> Team 1: Husk -> Team 2: Snowman
Demolition -> Team 1: Scrake -> Team 2: Jack Frost

After each wave, the player of looser team, who died first, spawns in next wave as a clot. Noone can turn into clot 2 times in a row though. After wave ends, clots get back to their chosen "perks".
After wave 5, the player, who killed the most players in previous waves, gets 60% chance of spawning as a Fleshpound. If he doesn't spawn as a fleshpound, other person from winners team will spawn as Fleshpound. If fleshpound player dies, the next wave noone from the team will be a fleshpound. So basically: if you become a fleshpound, you better don't die.
In the last wave (Patty-wave) in both teams a Patriarch spawns (in Team 2 it's Robot Claus). The person, who killed the most players in previous waves, gets to be Patriarch. Patriarchs can heal themselves 3 times.

Each "perk" got own advantages and disadvantages:
Team 1:
Clot - Slow. Can slow down other specimens by hitting them. can be frozen by Snowmans.
Gorefast - Very fast. Fast attacks. Low health (around clot's)
Bloat - slow. Can hit multiple targets with pukes. Can melee targets. can be frozen by Snowmans.
Siren - Slow. slows down Jack Frost and Snowman. Stops Snowman's snowballs with her scream. Can not be frozen by Snowmans.
Crawler - fast speed. High jumps. can be frozen by Snowmans
Stalker - can see RedHoods from any distance (like commando), invisible, normal speed, a little more damage than RedHoods.
Husk - normal speed. Sets targets on fire (except from Snowmans), takes only 50% dmg from snowmans, can not be frozen, can not be slowed down, 50% more damage to Jack Frost
Scrake - slow speed (if under 50% health then gets fast speed). High damage. takes +50% damage from Snowmans. can be frozen by Snowmans
Flesh Pound - Normal speed (if under 80% health then gets very fast speed). High damage. Can not be frozen by Snowmans. Can not be slowed down.
Patriarch - can not be slowed down. Can not be frozen. Normal speed. High Damage.

Team 2:
Elf - Normal speed. can be set on fire.
Gingerfast - Fast. Fast attacks. A little more health than gorefast.
Fat Santa - slow. Can hit multiple targets with pukes. Can melee targets. Can be set on fire.
Throat-sick Siren - Normal Speed. slows down Husks and Scrakes. Stops Husk's fire with her scream. can be set on fire.
Reindeer - normal speed. Very high jumps. can be set on fire
RedHood - can see Stalkers from any distance (like commando), invisible, fast speed, a little less damage than Stalkers.
Snowman - normal speed. freezes targets (if target can not be frozen, then slows down), takes only 50% dmg from husks, can not be set on fire, 50% more damage to Scrakes
Jack Frost- slow speed (if under 50% health then gets fast speed). High damage. takes +50% damage from Husks. can be set on fire by husks.
Nut Pound - Normal speed (if under 80% health then gets very fast speed). High damage. Can not be slowed down.
Robot Claws - can not be slowed down. Can be set on fire. Fast speed. Normal Damage.

Sounds awesome, if it were made I'd certainly give it ago.

One problem though, not with the concept, but with a minor detail. Wouldn't it make more sense for the Snowman to be extremely vulnerable to Husk attacks. This could have been due to balancing, but I believe if you gave the Snowman more Health in total, so other enemies aren't as effective, but made it so that it can be almost one shot by the Husk, it'd make a bit more sense. :rolleyes:
It would also make it so that the Husk had a very specific role of having to hunt out the Snowman or something like that. Just throwing around ideas. ;)

I remember ages ago on the KFL clan server we had the TDM running.

We had about 20 people at one point.

We also ran the Specimentation mod. That was also loadsafunny.


This gets my rope of approval. :)

imagine if someone made a version of Speciamentation compatible with all that on the 32-man KFL server (64 man server, loadsa guns, loadsa zed spawning, and can play as zeds). Chaos:D

I think it's difficult to find players to full up the server :S
But it's a good idea and like that ^^
that's why 7 vs 7 sounds rly reasonable and no probs bout ballance then.
But yeah, maybe should be also available to be 14 vs 14, but I remember from Specimen versus it's hard to collect people :(
And ofc find servers running such great mods...

Anyways, I am really amazed how you guys actually like the idea. Maybe we should ALL write some kind of "petition" to Black Cheetah so he'd give his mutator's code to best coders around here, who'd modify it and we'll have it :)

Except I think the bot-specimens should be only clots... since it'd be an award to become a Siren just cuz u died, awhile you were a clot already. So if you die, you become one of bot-clots.
Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Maybe some UT style levels where the two sides are symmetrical, could be quite interesting...
I already said it'd be Edited Evil Santa's Lair. I need someone to edit Evil Santa's Lair... so that's a help needed. Also needs someone who programs this map to work this way. I think we need BlackCheetah's specimenation code. I'd try to get that.
So, anyone wanna work on this project? :D
