This is not a post to suggest it be changed, edited, removed, etc. in anyway, but I was curious...

How many people think the firebug icon is ... How to say it... Out of place?

I mean, every class icon has its own for a reason, self explanatory and such; But I can't help but feel bugged at the Firebug's icon. Specifically; The face.
I just find the face to be completely out of place compared to all the other icons; Which are quite self explanatory; A fist for melee power, a stick of dynamite, an + icon for Medic... I would've imagined the fire itself would be self explanatory; So why the face? I always guessed that it was supposed to be a face of 'insanity; pyromaniac', but eh... It's just odd to me is all.

I was wondering if I'm the only one who feels this way about the Firebug icon.

Well, i think it's fitting.


Because Firebug means Pyromaniac.


And Pyromaniacs are really happy when they see fire. And the FB-Icon is? Yes. A smiling one.


So i don't think it's out of place

I know it fits... It's an insane, pyromaniac looking face it... Just seems, odd for some reason. I can't put my finger on it.

I've always felt a little weird about it. But never really delved too much in thought about the way it looks.

I do agree that the face is a little off-putting. Its one of those things where a change would be welcomed, but I wouldn't mind if it weren't. You know what I'm saying?

While we're on the topic of changing perk icons for lulz, I'd like a mod that replaces the name "Support Specialist" with "Chuck Norris" and the perk logo gets replaced with a cowboy hat.

I'm perfectly fine with the firebug-icon.
It's not like KF does take itself too seriously.

i have thought the exact same thing before. The fire bug icon is indeed out of place imo, but it really doesn't matter at all.

I always felt that the L6 icon should be a bit more, um, hate to use this word, but ''special''. More along the lines of 3 small stars on each side, or between a wreath, like military rank (CSM). Just never liked the gold L1 icon.

Since it's called "FireBUG" I guess the prob is why a MAN is on fire, not a BUG?
I bet a BUG on FIRE would be great icon to describe this:
