Default Brutal performance problems

Hello, I nearly finished my map but I have to to vegetation now. I put it at the end because I tried it a few weeks ago and had heavy performance problems. So it wasn`t possible to go on with the work. I`d like to know if there`s a function besides blinding out the static meshes(which didn`t really help)? Because I am sick of placing cover nodes 24/7 and it would bring the fun back to have some variety.

I'd say don't waste your time... Focus on the more important things. If you want help from mappers post on this sub-forum http://forums.tripwireinteractive.co...splay.php?f=84

Hetzer have you rebuilt with production lighting? You'll be surprised how much performance you get back. I went from 30 fps with high quality lighting and now get almost 50 fps with production lighting

Mhh I don`t think this matters when you work in the unlit mode. But I`ll give it a try, thanks.

Do you have a lot of BSP objects like buildings, etc...? They slow the editor to a crawl. There is a bit of a solution, though. You can convert your BSP objects to static meshes and get some improved performance.

I don`t got alot of BSP objects and the problems just start when I put down a large array of static meshes like trees. And I want to build a forest map so you can imagine that there will be alot of trees
