Just came to my mind after a really nice round of normal ZED slaying with five or six people from around Europe as it seemed. Share your positive recent experiences, laughs or your all-time favourites. Just don't rant (or rant about the rant, that is).

Anyway, just went on an unknown public server, I vaguely recall it being a german long server set to normal, and the first game for me was West London. The server filled up; the team consisted of almost all perks and we had a good going with a Lvl six Supporter who helped us in the tunnels, but interestingly, we were a lot of rotating, too. There sometimes were fights from the police parking lot to the church in wave seven and ongoing from there.
After that, we got to Crash. For the most part, we were tactically navigating the map, and team was consisting of almost only level two and three perks, and by that, there was NO shortsighted fool in it, be that he didn't knew game nor general behavior. We found out that "alleys are killing grounds" certainly rings true (especially with 2 FPs coming your way), and we found out that the upper level needed a bug exterminator badly. It was fun and challenging, if any of you remember this name or night, let this been said: it was definatly a good game! :)

I remember when KF was new and every single game felt like a new, magical and exhilarating experience. It's still an amazing game to this day where every game is enjoyable but I just love how it's advanced and grown up with the players! I used to drop in all nervous and inexperienced with my level 0 support specialist and now I'm level 6, so after every lunch break's over, I'm ready to don my welding mask and get back to work.

I have to agree with you there Gibz**. Tbh I still love the way that no matter how long I've played KF it still occassionaly gets me pumped to the max.

I go into a map, all confident and clear in my mind, I can be put under pressure, and deal with it effectively. However every once in a while something I totally don't expect jumps up out of nowhere and has me mashing buttons like a maniac in a panicked flurry of bullets in the exact same way I used to do 18 months ago.

For me this game is a miracle. I doubt I'll ever find a game that blew me away as much as KF did. I've spent the last 2 years talking my work colleagues ears off about it, and I don't plan on stopping any time soon :)

Edit: ** plus you Tim :D

I had several great games in a row the other night. It was the first time I played Hell on Earth with outstanding players, and I don't just mean by their skills. They were a pleasure to play with, polite, and real team players.
Though we lost four or so games, and won others, there was nothing but fun to be had and a sense of accomplishment. Most of us didn't need the map achievements.

I don't play KF much anymore unless it's with friends, but the rare instances of good HoE pub games leave me feeling all warm and fuzzy.

Hmm yeah, I also spent most of my playtime playing Lan games. And that's why KF is such a great game! I often ivite some of my friends to small Lan parties (5 players) and heck it's always a lota fun!
Internet games often turn out to be full of Rambos, PPl playing the game for everything but fun and so on.....
Tbh there will never be a way to balance every perk in a way, so that there won't be anyone soloing or doing stupid stuff. Of course there are ways to fix it but I'm shure KF would then totaly change. That's something I don't want, as it's a lot of fun when played with the right ppl. I really don't want KF to turn into some kind of L4D stuff....

Mc Gyver gameplay can be fun too :D:
Never buy anything but search for ammo and weapons during the trader time and give all the earned money to players who need it. Can be fun, when playing with friends on hard.

However all this stuff didn't happen 4 years ago in KF 2.0-2.5 because it didn't have many players and we all knew each other. In fact it was unbalanced as hell at some point but heck it was great fun. PPl didn't eve complain about the 0% chance of winning on NORMAL!!! :D.
In my opinion mainly because of the players we played with. There was the Z.E.D and the Axe Man clan.... Well it just was a small KF family.
Unfortunately I didn't really have much time to play the beta, but in the beta it should have been a bit like that.

Beta testing was probably one of the best times and featured amazing communication and tactics.

I miss the Beta :(

Tonight is the first time I've been able to play kf since november., thats right I missed the whole xmas event but that's ok because KF still kicks *** and no other game comes close.

Yep thats true but be can't bring this time back so let's just do the best of the best of the moment. This might sound pathetic but in a way it's true. We always think of good things that happened in the past and thus think such times will never come again. Well yeah they won't, but if we always think like this.... how can we ever have joy with this game or other things in live. KF is just a tiny example. Actually there still are think about that game (just an example) which could be exactly as memorable!

I just played around with the forum's Calander and switched it to 2037... Then I looked for my birthday and saw that I'll be 47 by then. Nothing new but still seeing it on a calander and not even having an imagination of this time span... So time goes on and we have to make the best of it. Thinking about the past is good but don't let the past destroy the present.
Yeah Yeah I know this sounds pathetic but still there's something true about it.

Most of the people I met in the beta don't play much anymore. Occasionally I still get some fun games in when I put on some music and join a server with strangers at 2am in the morning. It is usually chaos and we all die horrible deaths, but I just play so I can kill things I don't really care if I win. Sometimes there will be another guy in the server who is crazy like me and we always are the last two alive, roaming around and watching each others backs. Those games are fun.

yeah, that's usually true. I usually reserve my play for weekends, but I still play consistently. It just always seems like your games are full:eek:

Had a really good pub game of Suicidal Mountain Pass tonight. There was:

-A medic that could actually body block FP's. (Thank you Timur!)
-A lvl 4 commando that never died and held their area extremely well.
-One dude that kept switching between Berserker and Commando, but held his area no matter what.
-A Demo that didn't put his pipes in one single pile. He also saved our asses from crawler mobs and pumped his m32 into FP's rather effectively.
-A Support that kept moving side to side to help everyone out. He didn't use shotgun shells on single crawlers or clots.

Everyone called out Fleshpounds and Scrakes. There were a few times during the FP waves where we were still running as the wave started. Our medic also had the basketballs to bodyblock a raging fleshpound, sans armor, and lived.

Then we all chainsawed the Patriarch and much lulz were had.

Took about and hour and 20 minutes, but it was really fun. :D I wish all pub games could go like that.

Just got done in a 45 man server on a small city map. After wave 6 or so the admin would wait until the wave was starting then teleport us all to a random outskirt. No words needed to be said as we all understood our objective: Take back the city.

What made it so fun was that in the chaos of getting out of the initial mob of bodies you couldn't find your friends. So you had to make due with the group of people who happened to come your way and form a small squad. There was surprisingly a lot of teamwork going on in the small squads. Most fun I've had in awhile :D.

Suburbia on HoE,Twisted christmas event.

So everyone's dead and theres 1 guy left - Baddest Santa(didnt bother to read his nickname)

Killed most of the Zombies, and all that was left was 1 single clot.

He decided to troll everyone on the server,by running away from the clot and insulting it.

Santa reached a dead end and we all thought his trolling was over.
Then suddenly...

Santa:UEAHHH,CALL YOSELF A BLODEY ZOMBEY!!!!!
Clot:OHH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!

Santa threw all his grenades at the clot and eventually killed himself. Then he left.

Laughed my *** off on this :IS2:

Just got my first HoE achievement, Biotics lab, we held by elevators. Did first 5 waves as Support, died so I went demo, and one of the guys gave me a LAW so I went LAW demo for last 4 waves. Patty wave we go chainsaws and locked him in the group for the win. Funniest thing is he didn't even hurt a single one of us. Pretty sure nutterbutters and devante were in that game with me lol. If so it was a pleasure playing with you guys. My name is _[RG]_Link if that was you lol.
