.Ya I can't wait. The stuff they were playing in their rehearsal video they posted up on their site sounds great. It's pretty much my ROHOS of music in terms of anticipation.
And ya obviously the 8 bit doesn't get all the crazy distortion effects and lunatic drumming of the original, but it's still quite funny to me
.

well i kinda expected you to be from the US after you said that as the US does not nearly have the same kind of metal scene as we have over here in the netherlands or most other western countries in general.

But ya that's true. I don't really like the "scene" though, full of super mega music-elitists.
But then again pretty much all (good) black metal comes from northern Europe. So makes sense, cause BM seems to be the "in" thing right now.

there is a old school death metal revival as well. infact metal in general seems to be more "in" than 10 years ago.

I can't really say that Metal translates well to 8-Bit, it really loses it's punch.
Well, with one exception, the 80's Hair variety still works a treat, observe:
