And i got one question: are sharpshooters even effective on suicidal, HoE? I'm getting tired of playing normal, because 70% of normal difficulty's population are...

Which weapons should i use?
I am good with LAR, Crossbow, i don't like the m14 though.

And how does sharpshooter stop a patriarch?

I just played suicidal as Commando. I had 2 sharpshooter on my team, and they were amazing.

They both had crossbow and both shot FPs in head at the same time. So FP got 4 bolts in his face before he reach me. Dinnah, in other words.

SS is very effective, if you can properly aim for head and shoot down husc, sirens and stun/kill scrake before they damage team.

Regarding FP, you are the one, who call the shot. 2 bolts in head and after teammates should be finishing him as he gets closer. If you work well with another SS, FP should not be the problem.

M14 is good with Supporter supporting you. So if you going to take down FP, he could cover you during the time you shoot fp with m14 in face. Also you can carry LAR, if you have M14. And LAR is counter for Scrakes, since you can quickly stun him.

It's not as effective as it used to be and I don't really recommend it to a beginner anymore. I actually found that multiple Support Specialists or a single Demo are better at handling Fleshpounds now than a Sharpshooter is. Sharps have to aim at a tiny little area on the FPs head, and if they miss they're screwed (hell even if they hit they're kind of screwed since it instant rages the FP, good luck hitting three more on HoE after that), plus they can't handle groups of enemies at all. The Xbow has kind of been neutered, sadly.

Double or even triple Support can just open with a triple Hunting Shotgun blast to the face, then finish FPs off with the AA12 easily, clearing out everything behind him because of the shotgun penetration. Same with Scrakes. And a Demo can just destroy FPs or Scrakes with a Pipe, while a Support can just clean up whatever is left, no hassle. I don't really see the need for a Sharp anymore on a 6 man team, especially on Hell on Earth where it takes 4 headshots for the FPs. On larger maps maybe 1 to 2 Sharps would be worth it, but on every other smaller map (which is like, 90% of what KFs maps are) I'd rather have 2 or 3 Supports, and MAYBE one Sharp. I feel bad for Sharp getting nerfed so badly, but at least it means we won't be seeing M14 spamming dumbasses anymore.

As for the Patriarch, Sharp is crap against him now. Not nearly as good as he used to be. I'd recommend Demo over him, or Support once again. Six level 6 Supports with AA12 + Hunting Shotty in a room with only two doors will just rape the Patty so fast it's insane, even on Six man HoE. Once he comes in, weld him in and go to town and he will drop in under 30 seconds. Level 6 Sharp with Xbow can't even hope to take him down as fast or efficiently.

Xbow sharps on patty absolutely rape him. As for sharps not being needed on HoE, there are so many scrakes and FP's on later waves that all those supports will use up all their ammo on them. 2 sharps on a team will destroy scrakes and FPs. By myself as a sharp, I can put at least 3 bolts in the head of an FP before it gets close to me, and that is on upper hall in bioticslab. The xbow headshots still do a massive amount of damage. The sharp wasn't neutered, it was put where it should be, a class that takes skill and aim instead of being a boring death god now. I love playing sharp now, where it was boringly easy before.

Groups of enemies aren't really a huge issue, that is why you have a couple of commandos on your team. Also, the 9mm and handcannon can kill quite a lot before you need a reload.

If you see a sharp now, odds are pretty good that he is a very skilled player and can actually aim, especially if it is on the harder difficulties.
