4 part question:
-Is it possible to export stock static meshes* to 3DS MAX and if so, how? -If so, can you then edit the poly in 3DS MAX (for instance, removing the leaves from a tree so you're just left with the bare branches) -Can the "new" model be re-imported to the SDK -Can the "Combine static mesh" tool be used on the "new" static mesh? *and if you can export the stock static mesh would you also be able to export and tweak its accompanying texture in photoshop/gimp?

I've seen you can export as .obj files which i know max will read |

my way: put the mesh in a level. go to file -> export selected -> export as obj.
