Random Crashing - General Protection Fault - UWeaponFire::ModeTick

Tried validating game files, no luck. I seem to be the only one getting this crash and IDK what is causing it. I have yet to go a whole night without crashing once. It happens completely randomly, although I have noticed it happen a couple times right at the beginning of a wave when a bunch of zeds spawn. I haven't done anything to my game since this started happening, my game used to be completely fine, so I think it was one of the updates since Christmas that caused it.

Here are my bug reports:

Anyone know what is wrong with my game? Or is it something to do with awful Windows 7?

15 mins later again........

The game is basically unplayable because I can't even finish a game now, what the hell?

I'm starting to notice that it tends to happen when I am healing myself and it puts a new cap on the syringe gun.

Try changing your Steam download server, I think Europe - Central is one of the ones that is definitely OK, and reverify your files. At least your crashes are consistent so you should be able to narrow it down to corrupt files and sort it out.

Just redownloaded and reinstalled the game using a UK server and I crashed again.

I'm starting to think something is wrong with my computer if nobody here can figure it out.

My game had been going good for a while when I deleted my system folder and let steam rebuild it, I finished 2 or so games I think. Then I crash twice today before I can even finish the round I joined on!

I'm starting to notice it is happening more frequently at the begging and ends of waves, but it still happens randomly. The game will freeze and then close. Going to keep bumping this until I get an answer.

Yeah! I get random blue screens too, I think my ram is the problem too. Is yours ddr3? I think I'm running it at a bit higher voltage, but my case has excellent ventillation so I thought everything would be okay. The game has been running fine for about two years, and the ram has been twitchy since I got it so I'm not convinced that it's the problem.

EDIT: Just crashed again btw:

YI think I'm running it at a bit higher voltage, but my case has excellent ventillation so I thought everything would be okay.

It's not really temperature you have to worry about, generally components running with a higher voltage are less stable for other reasons. You could try lowing the voltage and see if that fixes the problem, or maybe even run a memtest.
