After some days spent studying I got back to ro2 and I noticed a somehow increasing volunteer-teamkill behaviour, not accidental, but just to steal guns/annoy people (and this included my own personal experience too).
In most servers the only thing you can do when this happens is write "np" as the server asks you to automatically forgive these people. What if I don't want to? I am aware that after a certain amount you get auto-booted but people seem to ignore this. Additionally I have seen this behaviour a few times during countdown, which means you cannot even respawn due to some annoying people. So I was asking everyone: In your personal opinion, would you like to see a punish command (which is present in some games) that allows you to instantly-kill the teamkiller in-game? I wouldn't, accidents happen and if some troll purposefully gets himself team-killed, he gets a free team-kill without losing any points himself.

I too despise the clowns that think it's hilarious to blast away in a spawn or kill for weapons or one of the most annoying....tk spree just before a team switch. I also think that a punishment option would result in abuses as well without preventing any of the above.
Do people ever use kick voting anymore? I have seen one initiated in several months of play.

I'd like to see a TK punish/forgive system like in BF2 , where if you get tk'd you get a CLEAR and VISIBLE message and whether you want to forgive or punish, and your decision is shown to the rest of the server so if some one tks a lot its gets noticed fast. Right now the system in RO2 defaults as a "punish" unless you type np, which is very bad news for some classes like MG and engineer, which frequently get kicked before people even get a chance to forgive. |

Never works in any game ever. Not to say I support any of the proposals presented here - It's just a fact that kick voting has never been sufficient in any game I've ever played.

Nothing beats an active and diligent admin , but its not always feasible to have one on 24/7; kick voting systems (as flawed as they are) give the average player some power to remedy wrongs like intentional tks, without the presence of admins.

Part of that is with 4 players, if one player starts ****ing about or goes AFK it's pretty easy to get everyone to agree to kick. The other part is that its extremely simple to kick vote and instantly recognizable.

There was a kick system inside of it, which was sometimes abused as people tent to kick if someone raped them....and this included raging. But considering that ro community is slightly more mature I think it would work great in there. http://www.google.it/imgres?q=combat...9,r:3,s:0,i:88 |

This may be fine for a 4 player game but with 64 players its a big no no, having played mount and blade which has a similar system i can say that the constant polls and kick voting messages coming up on the screen gets very tedious after a while.

The only problem with a tk punish option is that there are people who are, for lack of a better word, assholes who would abuse the option and punish every tk they are on the receiving side of, even if it was an understandable mistake. Its bad enough when these people flood the text chat or, god forbid, voip with their undue anger towards the minor inconvenience of a bad grenade. Giving them a bite to add to their bark would be a bad idea.

You're totally right. And, it pains me to say anything along these lines, such instances demonstrate that a totalitarian hand can benefit the average populace more than the collective decision of the server population.

I'm here less than a month and for this time I've experienced TK's on purpose no less than 3-4 times and 2 of the times it was several TK's by the same guy every time, 'cause I've accidently TK'd him, but apologized after.... The last time i've used the kick vote after the 2nd TK on purpose, but to no avail and it was the auto kick of the server that solved the problem after he killed me for the 3rd time..... Sadly most servers don't have kick after the 3rd TK.... |

Just got tk'd on Commissars house without an apology. During spawn wait I watched same player blasting away at another team mate. Dude was honor level 56 so no excuse other than being complete d bag.
