Default suppression a bit too much

there are many cases when i m getting suppress.and the shots are not even directing at me , one example is in fallen figther, inside tunnels right in the middle of it .
the fight is going on outside, and i m getting serious suppression, i presume probably the bullets are passing by above me ,and i m all shacking and black and white screen, when ennemies are shooting at somebody else outside tunnels.

that a bit too much

It doesn't seem to take into account whether you're directly in danger or whether you're safe in a bunker, tunnel, or other fortified and secured area - if the rounds pass within your area of influence, however that is measured out, then you're going to get the suppression effect.

Also, it has always suppressed you if teammates on different vertical levels than you... say you're on the second floor and he's on the first floor... get killed even though in real life you'd have no idea of his demise and thus have no reason to be panicked and demoralized. But the game just doesn't seem to be able to differentiate between what you can sense and what you can't, it's all about physical distance.

well i understand , but it doesn t make any sense at all , why should i get supressed when the shooting is not directed to me,so one man can supress three or four of us even if we are in a different hight level , that not right

Some kind of check to see if there is an obstacle between you and a passing round would be great. Getting suppressed by outgoing friendly gunfire two floors above your position is absolutely ridiculous.

The suppression was increased by community feedback that it wasn't potent enough.

I think it helps illustrate the 'freaking out' factor. Seeing/experiencing insane situations doesn't make them any easier.

It doesn't make a single lick of sense that my dude still freaks out when he is on the other side of at least one wall, and cannot even see what is going on outside. The system needs adjusting.

We should also distinguish between Classic mode and other modes, as I believe Classic mode suppression is harsher than, for example, Realism mode.

Definitely agree on refining the system not to suppress in illogical situations.

yeah, when your team leader dies you get surpressed. Nothing more hilarious than being across the map from him sitting somewheres and then going to full surpression and your character crying about some random BS.

Love the exageration. You actually have to be next to the guy for this to happen, otherwise, it's something else giving you the suppression effect.
