Same damn problem from UT2k4. I got this trying to go to Config from the main manu, but it also happened in 2k4 when I clicked Multiplayer.

Same thing happened when I tried changing my connection settings in Multiplayer.

What I got from that thing is that it might have something to do with your computer overheating or something, and that the unreal engine "beats up your computer."

This one guy said he ran an anti virus thing, and it came up with a virus, I forget the name, but it had infected everything. He got rid of the virus, and then didn't get the error anymore.

I dunno. There's no real definite fix it seems like.

I get a GPF error soon into the game:

If you want to beat GPFs you can't just sit back and wait for a fix, you have to actively search for a solution. It's worked for alot of people, and it will take far less time than doing nothing and waiting for someone else to fix your problems.

Me, I spent all day going through my computer and deleting crap I don't need, after about 5 disk cleanups, an old file compression, and almost a dozen defragmentation cycles, I've got nothing, and I've run out of solutions on my end. Unless something can be done on the devs end, I think I'm just staring straight down a complete reformat.

Well, at least I have a freshly cleaned harddrive for Oblivion, because ROO certainly isn't going to work until the next patch(hopefully) or until I can fully back this computer up.
