Bad name? Kicked out?

Hello,

my name in RO2 is like here in forum and only means K98-rifleman(+country).
But on few servers I got a message after joining, that I will be kicked because of bad name something.

Is it automaticly?
How are the parameters?
Is K98-rifleman really "evil"?
Or just the server admin does it?

If its automaticly, I hope it will be fixed for my name

Did you ever actually get kicked for this? Servers scroll messages like that throughout the matches. It is not neccesarilly meant for you.

I'm sure your "ü" is causing this.
If PunkBuster is set to high, people will get kicked(sometimes banned for 2 minutes) for extended ASCII characters (bad name).

Changing your "ü" to "ue" should solve the problem.

Yes, I think it was what Bob wrote.
But I will not change ü to ue - solong there are much servers.

Would think German and Cryllic characters would be accepted, afterall it is RO2

Good that in Koschi and Rainbowdash are either one of them, and i also didnt knew this as a german myself :P

If I'm not mistaken, its simply a Punkbuster setting that doesn't allow certain character sets. Because of the exploits of a few, the innocent pay the price.
