Realism vs Normal

I'm just curious which mode most of you prefer, Realism or Normal??

Personally I prefer normal mode. I think the game is already realistic enough and realism mode is just overkill <- That and I hate being TK'd over and over.

Thoughts?

I very much prefer realism.

HOWEVER.

What's with all the realism servers that have killcam on, and sometimes they even have the minimap!? Just kind of annoying when it displays "realism" in their name but it actually isn't.

Realism for me. There are far better games for arcady action out there if I wanted to play that.

RO2 is the first shooter I've played where the realism, or "hardcore mode", feels more natural than the "normal" mode.

Since when is relaxed seen as "normal"? It's a bad sign IMO. RO should stick with its roots.

I never claimed otherwise. I said if I wanted to play an arcady game there are better ones out there. The point here being that I'm playing RO for its realism, and thus playing with as much realism as possible makes sense to me. Including arcady elements in a realistic game is pointless in my book, which is why I'd rather play a proper arcady shooter than relaxed realism.

I have to say, that in "other" games I always prefer Softcore over Hardcore (or... hate hardcore). But in RO2 I almost only play realism

The only option for me is Realism - the thing that made RO1 such a good game, but doesn't quite go far enough in RO2 imo!

Proper Realism.

No kill cam, no auto reloading & manual bolting, hell if there was an option to disable every single hud item i'd have everything removed aswell
