I live on the East Coast of the U.S. (Maine) After I get home from work, have supper, watch the poor excuses for local and national news...some of The Colbert Report...sip a bit of wine...then wander in to the computer room for a good dose of escapism into Stalingrad, I usually see around 500 or so players on the servers. Many servers have no players. If I check in on the servers in early hours of the day, say a weekend, there are well over 1,000 players logged on. Most servers appear busy. Obviously, during the week, I cannot log in in the morning, work is in the way...but is there a time frame in which more people are logged on in the evening in the western hemisphere where numbers approach those I see in early hours? My next question is just being curious...the ping report that I used to get on 2fj server used to be below 100, now it is sometimes in the 300's...if something did not change at the server I wonder if I should be checking my internet provider.

According to the 2Fjg Server Problem i don`t know why but my ping was also a bit higher than the last months but I am from Germany so my Ping is always a bit higher. Maybe they got a new server hoster. But the best way to find this out is just visit their websidehttp://www.2fjgclan.com/forum/index.php?

Speaking as fellow a US East Coast player, a safe bet to find 3-6 servers with players during the weeknights are between 7-11 PM.

Regarding your ping: you should be getting a much lower one to the 2FJG server. Are you going off the initial ping readings when you bring up the server browser? I have noticed recently that the initial ping readings are exceedingly high when they should not be. When this happens, I refresh the server browser to find ping readings at much lower, and actual, numbers (in comparison to what I usually get with a given server).

Thanks for the replies. Yes...I have focused on the ping numbers that appear when I start the game as opposed to the Steam access. I have seen what you describe...good points.
