hey so you people who watch movies of their favorite videogames, I have a question.
Do you prefer the original in-game sounds for your movie? Or do you prefer a background song that goes with the movie? Most movies, I willl say, are just edited scenes from captured footage, meaning the maps are all different, so it's not really a "movie." It's just different scenes of kills from different maps and there's music playing in the background. I think it's best to have the same map throughout the movie. What do you think?

Depends on the kind of movie. If it's a gritty representation of what RO2 is all about then I would leave the in game sounds or, if you really feel like putting in some effort, getting some more realistic audio and dubbing bits of it (that's a lot of work though, and it's kinda hit and miss in my experience).
If you're going for something more artistic, with movie style shots and so on then a) good luck to you, those shots are darn hard to get in a game with no rewind/pause buttons! and b) yeah, that should have some music.

In game sound. Though if the game music was muted in game.
Then adding the OST back in under the games sounds would be nice. Make it feel less choppy

The 2 in same time, music according with the action on screen...
Here my only one vid with RO2 (I made it for a long time, just after the release)... I wait desperately for the "demorec" function to make another. ![]() Red Orchestra 2 - FallenFighters in Pz4 - YouTube

Interesting.
Some of you prefer the in-game sounds instead of background music. Personally, I prefer the in-game sounds for the movie. I can add some music at the end of the movie for the credits or whatever. I like hearing all the yelling the soldiers do over the gunfire. Adds to the excitement. SQBsam: I press CAPS lock to start a recording. It really is hard to get that footage. I missed a shot of an artillery that killed 6 of my teammates all at once and I stayed alive! I can't believe that I missed it! I wasn't quick enough with the CAPS lock.
