Default Empire's End MOD

Empire's End for Red Orchestra 2 "Bringing you the best of trenchwarfare" About the game - Empire's End is a mod that is currently under development for Red Orchestra 2. We hope to complete it by the time UDK 4 comes out so we can persue our dream of making a full game. History - Empire's End takes place during the First World War where you will have the choice to fight for the German Empire or France. You will fight on maps that have been taken from actual locations! How we work - Fortunately some of the devs have had a chance to visit some battlefields from World War 1 giving us a much clearer vision of how a battlefield would look.

Is this the same mod team (not talking about the Iron Europe team)?

To sort any confusion, this is what I have understood from reading the forums

There are in three WW1 mods.

Iron Europe
Grabenkrieg 1914-1918
Empire's End

Iron Europe has ceased development and the team have moved onto new things. In response to the end of Iron Europe a new mod team was created by the community and immediately started work. Iron Europe handed over their assets to this new team. This new mod is called Grabenkrieg 1914-1918 as that's the name that won the 'name the mod' vote.

Lastly there is Empire's End. The newest of the three and has a small indie team behind it. They have said they would be willing to work with the Grabenkrieg 1914-1918 team either on share resources or merging.

Someone correct me if I am wrong

You got it perfectly Harb. We are not Iron Europe, we have all their assets because we started our mod right after Iron Europe was declared officialy dead, around the New Year.

Awesome!

Combining efforts will only make a better product twice the maps and content almost!

I wish you guys all the luck .Indy teams hold the future for PC gaming IMO.

When are these mods going to be released? I'm dying here waiting for Rising Storm. Will we be seeing something in the next months, weeks?

I wouldn't say weeks.... my guess anyways.... I'd say you'd be looking at a few more months before anything solid.

But again, I'm guessing as I don't know how far along things are. Looking at their work in progress, they're still in the map design / character & weapon modeling phase.

But I'm looking forward to it... would be great if you guys merge together and have a larger team for a bigger mod. You could get more done faster that way than working separately from one another.

I was really looking forward to Iron Europe when I first heard of it, so this is all good news to me. If only I had the free time to contribute something, but I've already tried to do some stuff on the side for RO2, and while a few models were completed, I just don't have enough free time to be reliable for something of this magnitude.... it's also one of the main reasons why I left the Community Mod team working on the vehicles and such for RO2.
