Again, thank you everyone for posting and voting. We picked the name you guys suggested and enhanced it with the "The Great War" subline to make it even more clear what this is about.

We may not have reached the 250 votes "needed" for some bonus content release but since it took us a tad bit longer than excepted because we wanted to finish our logo and basic design we're posting it anyways.

First of all say hello to La Boiselle. Our amazing level designer danh, a well known Red Orchestra 2 custom mapper came up with this beautiful map based on a real location being fought in the Battle of the Somme. Please remember level design is a long process and these screenshots are of course from a pre-alpha work in progress version.

And as bonus: a fresh arrival, only finished today, our Gewehr 98, modelled by Coin-goD and textured by yours truly. At the moment this is the barebone version, we will of course feature bayonets.

Lastly, we got our thread in the Modding-Section where we hope you'll join us. You can expect more of us this week, including our website release and some serious linking to our mod-db profile.

Thanks again for your support guys, be careful in these trenches!

To be honest a game full of bolt actions would be my dream game I will be following this one for sure!

If any of you guys need some inspiration I strongly recommend this documentary. While normally I prefer books for research for game design nothing beats video and real inside looks of the battlefield.

Its rather lengthy but the definitive ww1 doc

Thank you for the reference. The historical researches of the team use both books and documentaries. We aim to be as historical accurate as possible!
