The Panther tank had IR NightVision.agreed but how would we see the Germans/Russians if they dont fire? we pretty much are blind wouldn't know were we are going there need to be street lights little fires and anything that will light up a little area other then a gun shot or explosion
What he said. People would cheat.I'd love a night map experience, but the problem with it being too dark: War of the highest gamma settings.
What he said. People would cheat.
some darkness is ok but am i the only one that gets finds it very hard to look at a dark screen? *waits for people to turn up the gamma and win all the night maps*
people must be used to living in the city. a typical night without city lights is quite dark.
i love these kinds of discussions. the realism-freak facade quickly breaks down when people realise they might not actually like it if it's done properly.
yep, keep asking for night maps that are actually day maps with a blue filter.
Did you read the whole thread? It was generally agreed upon, that realistically dark night would too strongly promote cheating by increasing gamma. So people are trying to find middle ground where it would look enough nighty, without being too hard to see things.
You can stop the effect of cheating by using the distance fog of the game and basically make it black and block out everything beside sources of light. Basically make the game make everything that is darker than a visible threshold pitch black.
