The one and only "Can I run this game" thread

will this graphics card be able to cope with it? what settings you think?
nvidia GTX550 1GB TI PCI Express

is this graphics card better or worse than this one?

ATI HD6770 1GB

might possibly get this one but its pushing my budget what you think?

ATI RADEON HD 6850 1gb

thanks for help guys, been really great
the 550 will cope and its about on pair in performance with the 6770,i know budget is tight but try you'r best to purchase the 6850 you will need it!!!

Can I run it on max settings 1920x1080?
Specs:
AMD Phenom II x4 955 @ 3,6GHz
2x MSI R5770 Hawk Crossfire
4GB RAM 1333MHz
Windows 7 Ultimate x64
1,5TB HDD
high shouldnt be a problem bro,and them MSI hawks are ment to be OCed with the gorgeous coolers on them, raise up fan speeds and OC them!!! they are quiet arent they? :)

5GB RAM
Nvidia GForce 8600 GT
Intel Quad Core 2.4ghz Q6600
Windows 7 64 bit
ur CPU is descent but you are held by the GPU,on low.

would Men of war assault squad be a good benchmark? cause I can run that game fine.
nope more like Metro 2033 or BC2.....something to compare to RO2.

New GPU?

New GPU?

Hey

I was thinking maybe i would upgrade my GPU from:

A En9800 gt top to a EN550 GTX TI?

I'm going to try out Beta with my current card, it was high end in its time!
The 550 is medium low end so not sure about it.

My current system is:

Asus P5B Deluxe (PCI express 1.0)
Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33 GHZ
6GB DDR2 RAM
EN9800 GT Top
Windows 7 64bit

Another question: is my motherboard somehow limiting the capabilities of the rest of my system?

I'm thinking about the PCI express being V1.0 which is normally 2 times slower then V2.0. My En9800 and the 550 TI are V2.0.

Would changing the motherboard make already a significant difference? It is nearly 5 years old now...

Thanks in advance for any response, much appreciated!

you wont be limited with v1.0 as long you run single GPU,and try getting better gpu either 560,570 or 6870,6950,6970

Thanks for the reply.

Thing is the prices double sometimes triple when you go from a 550 to a 560. That why I'm wondering if they're will be a notable difference.

im gonna post some links with reputable manufactures for GPU and good warranty:

EVGA GTX550 $139,after rebate $119
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130625

EVGAGTX560 OC(overclocked version) 822mhz to 900mhz $249,after rebate $219
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130610

XFX ATI 6850 OC to 800mhz $159,after rebate $129
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150516

XFX ATI 6870 $189,after rebate $159
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150561

The ATI 6870 is in same as performance as the 560 which after rebate is $219,while the 6870 is $159 after rebate, also the 6870 runs over the 6850 and 550 for good 10% or more....

with your CPU you can run iven higher GPU such as 6950 or 6970 or 570 or 580.....

It's about time I upgrade. I'm used to playing RO:Ost with the absolute lowest settings possible and getting around 15-25 FPS on average. The fact that everything's so ugly (though beautiful at the same time; thanks RO!) and the low FPS really gets me killed in a LOT of situations where I otherwise shouldn't.

I have no "build my own computer" capabilities, so I've been looking at what's available online. So far I have my eye on this:

Dell Studio XPS
and the things I think are important:

Intel i7 3.4 GHz
8 GB DDR3 RAM
ATI Radeon HD 6770

I see what the recommended specs are, but have no idea how this would compare other than "Oh, hey, that number's bigger!" In the short time I did try compiling a list of computer parts to assemble, I was willing to spend around $150 on a card. That one listed above retails for around $180, so at least that'd be better.

So, pitting this against RO2, what can I expect? I'd love to get near that magical 60 FPS number while keeping the game looking nice. I want RO2 to be a new experience, not like how I am able to play RO1 currently. I wouldn't mind having to settle for medium settings as long as the performance stays high.

Thanks for any input. :) If anyone knows of another PC worth looking into, I'd be more than glad to check it out.

with them specs you should be fine on high, but to keep it safe get the 6870 which is 50-60 bucks more than the 6770
