Default Loyalty to the Commander or?

I am starting to see fairly often the following scenario - some noob/unlucky guy shoots his commander and then 1-2-etc. guys are chasing him down to execute him no matter they'll get a teamkill. "Everybody who kills the commander must pay with his life." Do you think this is right? Do you think this is loyalty or just being a prick? I am wondering because one part of me think that the killing of your own commander should have some consequences besides the negative teamkill score but on the other side I think that chasing some guy across the map to punish him is a bit too much overreacting in a game. I was not going to make such thread but I am seeing this very often in the Axis team and thats why I've done it. I can't say how's in the Allies team since I never play with the Allies.

What? I've never seen this and if someone takes the time to chase some player that (accidently or not) teamkilled the commander. If that really happens, I can only say: sad lifes...

I've never seen this either... if you've only seen it once, I'd say it was a one-off event where the people hunting the tk'er were friends of the guy playing commander and were just being dicks.

The punishment fits the crime!

No, especially as a new player it is difficult and if you see the commander for the first time with his different outfit it can be a reflex shot. However after one warning I think it is appropriate.

My problem is noobs taking commander and they kill some people with their gun and think they are doing just fine. Then everyone says they are bad commander and they leave/quit/rage because they don't realize commander is different from average soldier (call art, recon, give orders).

This game REALLY needs tutorials. Simple as that.

There are technically a several tutorial missions in Singleplayer that tells you how to mark arty, drop arty, call recon, and give orders. But then the single player experience in RO2 isn't exactly the greatest, and people tend to ignore it.

While I've seen the accidental TK's and the rare intentional ones, I've yet to see that particular behavior.

I actually thought this thread would be about actually listening to commanders orders and what not.

Well, I don't have any problems with squad leaders following my commands. I guess I've been lucky on that one And on the opposite way - I don't have problems with loyalty to my squad leader and/or commander. I am going in/through everything the higher ranked guys say. With the years of playing tactical shooters I've learned that listening to even "wacky" orders can lead your squad/team to win ^^ But I guess thats up to the player as a person.

Problem is, only the Basic Training tut is unlocked for everyone. All the Squad Leader, Engineer, Commander, and tank tutorials must be unlocked through playing the German campaign...

Unless you've got a real nob stood in spawn tk'ing accidental TK happen - live with it, it happens - chasing some guy half way round a map is daft & the poeple who do this need really get a life lol

It's just some guys dicking around, nothing wrong with that, doesn't really warrant a thread IMO as they who keep up such behavior will be booted anyway.

Some of you guys take some matters just too seriously.
