my point was to illustrate just how few of them there ware made. your just being rediculus about it.
it just makes no sence for the team to put time into that weapon as it wasnt used, at all, in about 99% of the battles on the eastern front. @ drakon2k : if you seriusly want the team to consider them you should put some more effort into it and make a report about them like the topic start did here. including things like how they were used how many of the where used in the war ect. I think RedStorm was just making a suggestion. I understand that this weapon was produced in limited quantities. There are probably plenty of other weapons that would be better suited in the time the devs have. I am one of the Historians for 1944D-Day. And have to say I realize that there is only so much one can put into the product with the time that is allocated. So maybe one could say that possibly in the future if the devs have enough time, additional weapons culd be implimented. People expressing their suggestions are always good. It gets people thinking about different aspects. I hope that when the new people that enter RO and come into the forums, and ask questions that the veterans have all heard, we will all take a breath and not have a superior attitude and help them. I know I want to see RO:O grow and bring in AND keep the new players. I am going to help them, and hope that they feel comfortable enought to ask questions and make suggestions.

Hello,
I am new to this site. But have been a war gamer for more years than I care to count. I am also a WWII weapons collector. The number of 34/41's produced could be as high as 1705 or 1707 per German records. These numbers may also include the production of the MG34S. The parts of the two guns are interchangeable. These guns are exceptionally rare in the US. There is a 34/41 at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds Museum and it's serial number is 352. I have held it in my hands. There are two examples of the MG34S one at Aberdeen and the other at the Springfield Armory Museum in Massachusetts. The highest remaining serial numbers of the existing examples total around 1100. Other examples may exist (I have heard of one or two) but I do not know where they are. There were few extra parts made for these guns. The guns were cannibalized for parts so there are no matching numbered examples known. One of my guns was reworked and has three parts for MG34S 145 in it. ![]() I have been collecting parts for the MG34/41 and MG34S for 4.5 years. I am a top cover away from have two of them. I have had grips and seven or eight other parts copied. Their serial numbers are under 300. The books that I have read indicate that 300 were issued for troop trials on the Eastern Front. The Congress of the United States stands in my way for completing the restoration with the production of two new receivers. They eliminate work/jobs for all sorts of people by limiting our freedoms. Why should we trust a Congress that does not trust us? Michaelangelo25 |
