Hi.
Many players reports, that they have big problems with only on key bound to cover, picking up weapons (use) and bandages. After playing ROII for two weeks i noticed, that when you want to cover anywhere, you are holding your weapon horinzontally and when you want to pick up a weapon, you´re looking down to the floor. So why don´t simply deactivate the "cover" function, when the player is looking down and deactivate cover AND weapon pick up when the player is (heavy) bleeding? Thats an easy to do fix that would work fine and i only got one situation in two weeks where it would not had work (pick up a weapon on FRONT of you while standing in a foxhole).

I often look down at the cover I want to go into. This would not work for me. I still think letting us change binds would be better.
Still some people like the combined system but it needs some work. Something like this may help.

I dont often derp. But when I do it often has high correlation to being on the battlefield, pointing my revolver at the ground and imagining red text saying "BONDAGE"...

What if a weapon is laying on crate, then you will look straight or up to pick it up, or what if a weapon is laying on stairs, know what i mean?

Cover system is a good idea but needs alot more tweaking in order to be a success . It gets me killed more than not. This idea is heading in the right direction though

I think the easiest and the most logical way to fix key conflicts in the the game and to improve usability are the following:
1.) Remove "Cover" function from the hell of triumvirat (default key: Ctrl). I think "Bandage" and "Use" could remain together without issues.The sprinting will not affect the cover system, because when you don't move you will never start sprinting if you press the shift key just once to enter cover, and when you sprinting close to walls you will never stick accidently to them because you holding down the sprint button along with forward key, and covering function only works when you press it just once. (I hope these advanced bindings could be implemented in UE3...) 4.) Put "Hold-breath & Zoom" function together with "Ironsights" like in ArmA, so click right mouse button brings up ironsights, holding it down holds breath & zooms (default key: Right mouse button). The idea of the ArmA like ironsights functionality originally comes from lanka.
