People still doing this getting pretty stupid with people logging on to disrupt gameplay, oh course you can kick them but alot of the time you just run out of time to purchase ammo therefore the remaining part of the game is just a joke since you have barely any ammo/armour

something id like to see is that tripwire get all the maps and change the doors to double the size or at least a size that one person cannot block
 
Actually it does cause a problem for me. If I connect to a server with anti blocker on, and then I leave the server I get an unknown steam error on my profile and achievements page. Forces me to restart everytime I want to look at my profile.

Mind you it seems all mutators do this thus far, so its not an inherant problem with the mutator itself... wonder if its a caching issue...

Uhh, the griefers are going to be a lot worse if they do this.

You're playing demolitions wrong. Trust me. I'm in like level-8 territory for demolitions, and I only ever play on friendly fire servers. I've never been reprimanded for teamkilling with demo.

yes it is a caching problem, since good/bad versions do not create new entries but still work, and some admins never bother to update their mutators, there's an outdated/corrupt version of antiblocker going around. so all you have to do is replace your own with the proper one, problem solved.

but of course for those who don't have it yet, if they run into one of these deadbeat admins, they will get this error. which again can be solved by replacing it manually, you only have to do it once and it will work properly on any server with good/bad copies.

Actually that didn't solve it, I just tried it and I'm still getting the same problem. But it did prompt me to try and bypass using the cahching system. So I wrote out my answer to this little problem here. Cheers for helping point me in the right direction kingkong :)

Actually now that I've re-read your post I realised that I read it wrong :p

My line of thinking was that you said it was a corrupt/outdated version of the antiblocker, however I just downloaded that exact one, and it was the exact same one I had before. I put it on my server anyway and when it downloaded into my cache I still get the unknown steam error issue.

So I was just clarifying that the servers mutator isn't outdated or corrupt, it was in fact the simple fact that downloading it in your cache doesn't work properly, and the solution (that I didn't realise you had said :p) was to place the mutator into your system folder, rather than download it into your cache :)

Don't worry, jsut me being a nub :D

You often can't even kick them because server admins disable voting. A while ago, I suggested making voting mandatory so server admins can't disable it.

As for server mutators, there are not really a solution if the admins don't care (see right above). A solution built into the game would work on all servers. Disabling player collision would be awesome, it's more annoying than helpful anyway. Killing people sitting (or walking around) in the doorway would be a fun punishment though.
