For all those of you who bought the standard version of RO2 on Steam, who have since decided that you want to play the Beta NOW (not to mention get the other goodies we threw in to the Deluxe version) - Valve have now added an upgrade path for you. No more need to refund and re-buy. Just head over to the Steam store page (http://store.steampowered.com/app/35450/) and add the "Digital Deluxe Upgrade" to your cart. Then you can join in the Beta as fast as you can download it.
For those of you who bought from other digital outlets, go and get them to do the same! |

Alan, I've had someone ask me: If you live in Germany and had someone outside Germany gift you the game to get it uncensored, will upgrading to the DDE yourself revert it to a censored version?

Very nice idea.
Now people who bought the normal edition can get acess to the Beta without canceling the original pre-order and buy the game again. |

Oh good grief... lol. My GUESS would be that they will get a GERMAN version, so don't do it. I reckon that Steam will simply remove the game you have and replace it with a "new purchase". So get the same person to gift you the upgrade!

Nette Idee.
Schön ist auch, dass selbst die Deutschen bei der Beta noch die unzensierte Version haben, wäre zu schön, wenn das dann auch bei der finalen Version so wäre, aber unsere Regierung ist leider zu schwul, als dass sie das erlaubten. English: Nice Idea. Also nice is that even the german player can play the beta with full gore, it would be so nice when that would be at the final version too, but our government is too gay to allow that. ^^ PS: Viel Glück, Kameraden! |

Mr Wilson:
I purchased the RO2 normal edition some weeks ago(thought it was the DDE), then yesterday i bought the DDE edition on the same Steam account, because i HAD TO try out the beta. No worries, i dont regret buying it twice! Do i now then have two cd-keys? Or, is it possible to give one away to a friend for example? Cheers, Daniel

This is good news. I was totally broke when I spent my last euros to the normal pre order.. now I magically have some unexpected loose cash and possibility to get the DDE without the extra hazzle. Good stuff! Cheers!

Wow, I'm really glad you've put this feature in. I was debating to myself whether or not i ask steam for a refund and buy the DDE or just wait it out for the next two weeks.
Thanks for doing this tripwire this is why I'm happy to pay the extra money. |

Very convenient.
Still hoping for some news about a North American collector's edition. I'd love to get some of the things included in the Polish collector's edition.
