Default Killing Floor Scrakes and Medics

Kill Scrakes with medic on hell on earth with no armor.
-best tactic I have come up with for scrake if you really have to as a last resort as medic, more about it is in the video description (and yes I know I said Hell on Eath in the video not Earth)

‪Scrake Tutorial - Medic‬‏ - YouTube

So often it has happened to me and others that in a Hell on Earth game or whatever a medic can be the last one alive with no armor with a bunch of Scrakes at the end and no way to kill them. Ive had this happen when a camping games gone awry and the medics had to bail and kite the the rest of the wave, or if all the zerks on a kiting team get picked off one by one. I have seen it multiple times where the medic tries to kill the Scrake but ultimately cannot output damage fast enough gets sawed to death . Im sharing with you the best tactic I can come up with for killing scrakes, even on 6 man HOE, with no armor. The only way I know how to do it relies on the m14 EBR. When I play medic i normally use katana, M14, and med gun, mainly because the EBR fires fast and 1 hits many things with headshots. Anyway this is the best tactic/loadout I have used for my play style when Im medic. although I know medic is very versatile with its loadouts and everyone has different preferences. Just thought Id share my tactic with you.

Katana+HSG works as well, though riskier since your alt fire blast has to be dead on, and it doesn't kill the scrake unperked. Same strategy, pick away with the katana, then do the usual alt fire katana -> alt fire HSG blast.

Surprisingly, I found a video illustrating this via a troll post on SPUF . Who would have thought? Original thread's been deleted though, but it was one hell of a post, heh.

The M14 thing works with lar instead of katana, for those who don't want to get that close to a scrake before hand. 5 LAR head shots, then ebr away.

Thanks for the other info, I never thought of trying it with the LAR or Hunting Shotty, although what I like about this combo is it allows the medic to still carry the med gun along with katana and m14, the m14 serves much of the same purpose as the lever does for kiting games.

I generally like to have some form of a melee weapon as medic, but thats because often I am kiting with a team of zerks and a katana is light weight and can kill things that get too close quicly and let me get back to healing. I also like to use it in a camping game for when I am tanking a fleshpound just so it always stays focused on me and doesnt break through. Lastly as a last resort scenario if your camping game does go awry quickly, a medic can begin a kiting run and finish the wave as the last one alive much easier than many of the other traditional camping perks and the katana/m14 loadout makes that effort much easier.

BEST way to deal with scrake. If he targets you, and he rage, press crtl and shoot his head. He will die 1000000 times faster than you can imagine if teamates are around.

Even a non-medic/zerk with no armour full health can tank for 5+ seconds. If you just jump and run, most fire power uis hitting the air, and you cannot stop the scrake from raging, and you die.

If other zeds are around, crtl and kill the other zeds. just dont run away... if you stay, he will point his saw to your face, and you take much much much much less damage then he swing his chainsaw. 2 swing, youre basically dead, but if he saw your face, you live for 5+ seconds without healing.

Yeah, the method shown above works, and you dont take damage, however, how often you carry hunting shotgun or M14 as medic?
