Character selection not saving

Further explanation, whenever I log-in the game, my character is always set to the default char. And when I set it to the dlc i unlocked via steam tickets and join a game and its back to the default, so I have to set it when I'm already in the game lobby for it to work.

I know its a small problem but I really want to know how to fix this, thanks everyone
