Haven't bought ArmA 2 yet(I need to try it first), but this is your best bet to jump into BIS games wagon. Since they made their "extensive" beta testing with real people during Armed Assault phase.

Ha! Just tried it on my 1.8Ghz C2D, 8400M GS and 2GB 667MHz RAM laptop and it runs absolutely terrible. I can run Armed Assault pretty well on this rig(lowest details) and I thought this could run as well. Terrible no matter what I did, even with no blur - no bloom mod.

Oh well, ArmA 2 is a end-of-summer buy for me then. When I upgrade my main desktop.

Yeah, that processor is killing you there. I think Minimum is like a 2.4? You may also want to try grabbing Kegetys mod that removes the motion blur and bloom effects. Check this post: http://forums.bistudio.com/showpost.php?p=1300985&postcount=29

A lot of people have said that mod has increased FPS by ~10-20.

This mod works very well and certainly helps with the flow of the game, I'm using the bloom/blur pbo.
The downside is that it takes that ARMAII special feel away, so I'm not going to say that I recommend it.

For anybody that is using the English language pbo's, if you have them in your Addons folder FADE will kick in when on-line :p, I might add that it (FADE) works very well...

@Stiler, I bought my copy in a shop, just up the road in Germany...47.99
