I really like the idea of Stamina + Adrenalin instead of just a flat out suppression system.
It would be more realistic for adrenalin to have positive and negative effects. The negative effects would be the standard suppression effects (shaky aim, hard to focus etc), the benefits would be that you should be able to run "extra" stamina. Meaning you can run for longer than normal, but when the adrenalin wears off you will be exhausted longer than normal. Also, adrenalin could help for slow deaths. If a hail of bullets is landing around you, your adrenalin is pumping, and you get hit, you should have a longer slow death than if your adrenalin was low, since adrenalin constricts blood vessels and reduces blood loss, and it also makes your heart faster so you have more oxygen going around your body so you can stay conscious/standing longer. |

I'm not sure of how long it takes to lose consciousness due to blood loss but I, along with many others here, have heard plenty of stories of people taking serious injuries in combat and not even flinching because they were so pumped up. Vikings had beserkers, native Americans had their war-drums, it is known to work.

If you think you're not suppressed, then it is time to get out of cover and return fire. If you still think you are under suppression, then don't come out of cover. Pretty simple. You don't need to stare at bars to make sure you are 100% unsuppressed before you start returning fire. Be aware, play the game! |

The suppression bar is redundant because you already get the desatured screen and heartbeat effect. That should be enough. So why they added it I don't know. It doesn't look very good either. Both the suppression bar and stamina bar shouldn't be there IMO.

The stamina bar is pretty nice to have so you don't get surprised with a sudden halt, and you get a better view of how much further you can run at any given point.

Stamina bar is fine, they did that in RO1 and it actually had a purpose. A suppression bar is just... there.

There is no good reason to be afraid of getting shot unless you can't respawn (Countdown iirc), suppression should make it hard to return fire, not be another tell that you're being shot at besides the tracers barely missing you. |

There are a lot of things the suppression system does in both RO1 and RO2. In RO1 it is impossible to line up your sights when you're being shot at. In RO2, it goes even more indepth. Friendlies being killed, desaturation effect, breathing noise, among other things. And while I am no pro at RO1, I am often able to prevent the enemy from constantly popping up with an MG42. Keep a constant rate of fire up and the enemy will stay down... or get killed.

then it should be back in the damage indicator (so should stance). both those bars popping up fading away popping blahblah, is a pain.

The fainting is a precautionary (does this word exist?) defensive measure of your body in response to a lack of oxygen. Your body shuts down the brain to protect it against the lack of oxygen. Adrenaline suppresses this protective measure so you will pass out due to a lack of oxygen directly and not by this system. And just to correct; Adrenaline indeed causes constriction in organ arteries, but it will cause huge dilation in muscle arteries (these need oxygen to run and fight) so it would in some places increase the bleeding and in some places inhibit the bleeding. Hmm, went a little off-topic

TWI stated the suppression bar is a placeholder. So if it stays in, it certainly won't look like that. My guess is it'll only be visible in Relaxed Realism mode, but who knows.
For people saying the suppression effects aren't strong enough, I think you're forgetting bullet penetration. DH needed stronger visual and audio suppression effects to make you act suppressed. ROHOS will get the same effect because it's much easier to die, even behind light cover.

Just press the button and hit at the enemy source of the tracers. Especially since tracers aren't blurred its dirt easy to just hit an mg firing at you.

that may be so but in any case it seems abit to tactical. and there are many things on the default hud that can be improved I personally think that the tactical view should just show you the 3d location, time and reinforcements can go back to the map and score board.
