The Ball crashes everytime i try to start.

Every time i try to start The Ball the pic shows up and stays there for around thirty seconds and then it crashes and a popup appears saying "The Ball has stopped working". What should I do? also i got it off of steam if that could have anything to do with it and its on a duelbooted mac.
