Main gun tank sights.

In the video of igromir we see that when a different range of the sights gets dialed in that the recticle stays in the centre.

Like the sniper scope shouldn't the actual reticle move up and down depending on the range dialed? Like the picture below, or did the pzIV have a different more advanced system?
