I just noticed that it says "Pre-Purchase The Ball (DE)" when visiting the Steam store from a German IP. Is there anything different in the German version? Maybe reduced violence/gore? Using the search function I only found one other thread where somebody asked this question but there was no clear answer. (if any at all the answers in the thread could just as well refer to other questions)

No, the German version is uncut. The system was in place because we believed we would have to make changes. However the game receieved a rating of 16 UNCUT.

So it's perfectly safe to buy it then, nice. Still weird that that game goes up uncensored. Not that I'm unhappy about that.
Ah, and sorry for opening another thread on that topic, I didn't find anything first, but it seems that the forum just doesn't work right in IE9's standards mode. |

The ratings on this one came out fairly bizarre:
ESRB (USA) - "M" PEGI (Europe) - 18 USK (Germany) - 16 BBFC (UK) - 15 Go figure! |

What about Australia and it's lack of a +18 retarded system (I'm not having a go at Australia, most Australian Gamers will (hopefully )agree with Me)

Another quick question: Most if not all UE games have multiple languages available that can be changed while or after installing. I'm referring to audio here, so does it work with The Ball?

You can change the language after installation.

There are no immediate plans for Japan...
And Australia usually follows the BBFC - they did with KF - so keep your fingers crossed! |
