Tripwire Interactive President to Appear on CROSSHAIRS Webcast
This Saturday, 16th October, at 3pm EST, Tripwire Interactive President John “Ramm-Jaeger” Gibson will be making a special appearance on the CROSSHAIRS webcast. CROSSHAIRS is BASHandSlash.com's live talk show. Its goal is to provide a medium for gamers to exchange their views on all the highly charged FPS subjects of the day. Topics for discussion include Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad, Killing Floor and whatever else the CROSSHAIRS hosts throw at him. Additionally John will be taking questions from fans in the CROSSHAIRS chat room during the webcast. Want to ask the developers questions about one of the most hotly anticipated shooters of 2011? And here I thought there would be no crosshairs featured in RO:HoS. Evidently it is happening the other way around. *bad-um-dish*
Will watch it now.  Edit: Or maybe when it is available for latecomers. :/

Here's some of the notes of what I got when I was able to listen:
Meleee -Scaled back from original fencing level ideas - sounds like refinements -No mention of new weapons like knives or helmet bashing Big beta -later this year or early next year. Might be open beta or pre-order beta Ranking system perks -No crazy perks (like CoD) -Less suppression effects -Better recoil control -within realistic parameters -Start out good and get better (not crap to super) -Unlocks Elite roles -SCOOP: Weapon upgrades - for example Kar98 marksman with original 1.5x scope to move up to 4x and 6x scope -Higher ranking players get first choice on advanced roles (like commanders) -Hero doesn't change healthpoints Battlefield commission system - if player is doing well in round, get a temp rank boost to try advanced roles Realism mode has no HUD icons by default RO2 TV (better than ROTV)

Missed the webcast...
 Those points sound decent, but... did you say "less suppression effects?" Personally I am hoping for more. I will wait till I hear more clarification.
