oi!

I demand some information.

You're already developing the game in tandem with RO2, In Country and Rising Storm, yeah?

So, for example, if RO2 is released in February, when will we see v1.0 of Iron Europe? Around the same time? March?

What sort of stuff will be in the RC? How many maps are playable? How many do you plan to ship with? 4? 5?

I want to use a Lee Enfield and kill Jerries ASAP.

No tandem or joint development with the other mod teams atm.

My personal goal is to have a public release 6 months after RO2:HoS comes out we will see if we make that. Earlier wouldn't make any sense because everybody is still playing HoS anyway

4 maps are planned out, at least two new character models (German and British First World War soldiers), machine guns, rifles, grenades and melee weapons for both sides and for the rest we will see

And play Mare Nostrum in the meantime

I'd release the game with more than 4 maps... it seems that MP mods that are released with few maps and content seem to die quicker than if they were released with more maps up front.



But, if that goal does come true, that would be great.

We have more than 4 maps planned. Just 4 that are currently fully planned out (all the research is done).
Also keep in mind that the characters for both sides have many variations, as uniforms changed throughout the course of the war, and different soldiers had different responsibilities.

Four maps for an initial release is fine; bear in mind that RO2 maps are going to be a lot more interactive and complex than those for RO1.

I just want to see how awesome it all is; I am really looking forward to this mod. You have no idea.

The four maps will be large maps (approximately the size of Arad). And those four maps are a promise™, always depending on the help we get and what wacky ideas we have.

Please! I just want to see some awesome trenches. Of course I hope there will be at least one normal, primarily open, non-trench map as well. They didn't all dig in on day one you know.

A Christmas Truce map would be cool; the first team to capture the centre of the map wins, as it means all players automatically drop their weapons and can't pick them up again for 20 minutes.

Can you confirm some of the weapons you've decided on?

For example, you could use this for the German Elite Rifleman.

And you should add sawn-off shotguns for British Trench Raiders.
